Things are starting to move.. somewhat
I finally got out of my design funk after designing the invite 5 times. Finally.
Jihan, don’t remind me how much time we have left. I freak out sometimes lol. sigh* Praying for your planning and sanity :]. Did you get a dress yet?

Update on planning
Well, we have all but three major vendors we need to be checked off. DJ, menswear and transportation. Then comes the dirty work (which I’ve been neglecting) of invites, making some parts of the centerpieces (well started buying them, helps that I work near the flower district), and this site which is also under progress to be honest.
I am beat.
Can we be married already?

This Easter Sunday
Lets remember our Great High Priest, our Great King, our Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins, resurrected on the third day and crushed the curse of death. The King who we eagerly await for and the greatest gift that God has ever given to us.
Thank you Father for the everlasting life that in so many ways that as a sinner, I do not deserve, yet Your grace and love for me is beyond all human understanding. You are the Lord of all.
I thank you Father for changing my heart a year ago to see the truth through your Holy Spirit.

Flowers
Something about the thought of jasmines and garden roses makes me happy. I think I found my flowers. I just don’t know what kind of garden roses yet.. however it is going to smell so pretty. I love the heady scent of jasmine <3

A Realization
A dinner with old friends made me realize how much I have changed in the past year since I last saw them as a group. From friends to what now feeling like old acquaintances. A life that was in the past, and I really don’t miss it.
The crass jokes, the free talk of sex, and silly escapades saddens me. Writing this, I’m sure they will stumble across this post. They might think I’m weird, but I write to ask them, look beyond the foolishness of the world. We dwell in death if we put anything as an idol and the emptiness in our hearts, unless filled with with God and Christ Jesus, will consume us with Satan’s attacks.
What have you wasted? What have I wasted? A lot. There are many things that I have done which will affect me in my life. The residue of sin will forever plague my earthly body. Just like my twisted ankle which hurts still every so often for the past ten years. A constant reminder that our body deteriorates from the moment we take our first breathe.
Thank You Jesus for Your everlasting life. I pray that our wedding/marriage/life would be like Ephesians 5, and mirror Your love to us to others.

200 days to go
It just seemed like yesterday when Andrew proposed to me in front of his family and I was caught off guard. During fellowship, Yvette, was giving a message about the greatest love story, the love of God to men. We were watching a clip of Monica’s engagement from Friends, my initial reaction was, man, that was totally not my engagement story. I will get to the engagement story in a bit. For now, I’m glad at how far we had gotten with our planning.
We already booked our ceremony site, reception hall, photographer, videographer (apparently, this word is a spelling error) and makeup/hair. Our pastor will be our officiant and we are having marriage bible study with him. Our friends are great and willing to help and for that, I am truly grateful that God has given us friends and family who love us and support us.
We are also in the process of looking for our home to live in once we are married.

And out of the group, the Lord God formed every beast in the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.
